CVS (PDF 436Kb)
Wim Delvaux - Desc

CVS is a version control system, which allows you to keep old versions of files (usually source code), keep a log of who, when, and why changes occurred, etc., like RCS or SCCS. Unlike the simpler systems, CVS does not just operate on one file at a time or one directory at a time, but operates on hierarchical collections of directories consisting of version controlled files. CVS helps to manage releases and to control the concurrent editing of source files among multiple authors. CVS allows triggers to enable/log/control various operations and works well over a wide area network.

The talk will concentrate on how CVS works, how to set it up and where to get additional information

This talk will mainly discuss its features and how to install Debian from CD or floppy disks. It will also briefly cover the implementation on alpha based architectures.

Gratien D'haese - IT3 Consultants - OTA Treasurer

Invest 30 minutes of your time to set-up automatic fetchmail from one or more Internet mail accounts and have those incoming mails automatically filtered by procmail. You will notice that those 30 minutes of investment will save you valuable time afterwards, as it can automatically sort electronic mail and delete spam spontaneously.

This talk will guide you in the set-up of fetchmail and procmail and some other tricky (say no more) stuff.
